Mental health treatment
People living with mental health issues often face real obstacles when they try to get help. Stigma is still present, and misunderstanding still leads to delayed care or the wrong kind of care.
Ambrosia provides mental health treatment for adults and adolescents. Adult care is offered at the Neuroscience Institute in West Palm Beach; adolescent care is offered at The Academy in Port St. Lucie. We treat anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, and other mental health conditions with psychiatric and therapeutic support.
Substance use and recovery
Addiction treatment
Substance use disorders can affect every part of a person’s life — physical health, finances, family, and mental well-being. Most families have been touched by drug or alcohol use in some way, and South Florida is no exception.
Ambrosia Treatment Center helps people recover from alcohol and drug use and leave with relapse-prevention skills they can use after treatment. Care can begin with detox and continue through inpatient and outpatient programs.
Mental health and substance use together
Dual-diagnosis treatment
People who struggle with substance use often have a co-occurring mental health condition. In some cases the mental health condition comes first and substances become a way to cope. In others, substance use contributes to depression, anxiety, or related disorders.
Dual-diagnosis treatment addresses both at the same time rather than treating one and waiting on the other. That integrated plan is the standard of care at Ambrosia.
