Drug Addiction Treatment
When a client comes into The Ambrosia Treatment Centers for the residential program they are able to take advantage of 24 hour a day care to make sure they adjust to treatment both physically and emotionally. Our clients are fully assessed by a medical doctor, psychiatrist and primary therapist. These assessments assure we are providing the best care at the most appropriate level. During this phase of treatment our clients work with their primary therapist to develop their individualized treatment plan that will guide their treatment through The Ambrosia Treatment Centers. Clients will spend the majority of their time in one on one session, group therapy and doing independent work and assignments to aid in their treatment plan goals as well as partake in our renewal therapies.
Partial Hospital Program (PHP)
The Partial Hospital Program consists of intensive treatment to assess and address issues associated with substance abuse. While being treated at a PHP level of care clients follow a similar day treatment to an individual in residential level of care, but often reside in halfway houses or other types of sober living. Clients will continue work on their individualized treatment plan as well as update when goals have been achieved. Clients attend specialized group and private meetings to include, but not limited to:
- Life Skills
- Anger Management
- Relapse Prevention
- Experiential Therapy
- Meditation Recreational Therapy
- Nutritional Education
Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)
Intensive Outpatient is designed to ease the client slowly back into life and society while maintaining a strong secure connection to the addiction treatment center. Individual counseling is still made available on a weekly basis and more as needed by his or her primary therapist, however. Ambrosia also accepts clients to level two treatment from other primary treatment centers.
Outpatient Program (OP)
At this stage clients are allowed more independence while still being monitored by the addiction treatment center to ensure their progress. Each client maintains contact with his or her primary therapist as well as group attendance. Ambrosia’s staff assists in job search and placement and provides on-going support in all areas of the client’s daily life.
Providing the Ability to Overcome an Addiction
Treatment is a process that should not have negative associations of confinement or restrictions of free will. Counselors can not force individuals to get well. Alcohol and drug rehabilitation is not easy. Addicted people come to us with impaired judgment and awareness. With the support and knowledge gained through our counselors and our leading-edge alcohol and drug treatment program, an individual’s power and ability to overcome their addiction increases. They begin to understand they alone are responsible for their recovery and preventing addicted behavior. The individual learns they must re-define themselves and their goals to prevent relapse when they are back in the environment that the addiction developed or festered.
