"Will keeping up with prescribed medications reduce risk of relapse?"

My fiance is bipolar and beginning to be put on the appropriate medications. If he is actively taking his medication as prescribed, does this reduce his chances of relapse? Click here to report this post as inappropriate. flag
If your fiance has been diagnosed bipolar it is crucial to recovery that he be monitored by a psychiatrist and comply with his medications. With dual diagnosis it is of utmost importance to treat both the underlying illness as well as have a strong support system for recovery. Not following medication recommendations is a red flag and should be taken seriously as a sign of potential relapse.
