"Do rehabs charge co-pays?"
Asked by HopetrackerA3 Seen by 188
I called a rehab, and my wife is scheduled to check in tomorrow. They said it was fully covered by insurance, but are there any extra out-of-pocket costs that I should be aware of, like co-pays or hidden fees? I don’t want to be taken by surprise. Call the admissions team and discuss your concerns with them. They can let you know if there will be out-of-pocket costs, so you are not caught off guard. Some facilities will wave co-pays depending on policies they have in place for financial hardship or limitations.

The only way to really know is to ask the treatment facility. If they tell you that there is no out of pocket cost to you, ask for a letter explaining this information. This will protect you from any surprises in the future. Ask a lot of questions and understand what other expenses you will be responsible for (a common one is copays for medication).
